SE80: Prompt the user on transaction close if there are unsaved edits

I'm pretty new to ABAP Web Dynpro and yesterday I lost three hours of work because I forgot to save before closing the SE80 window.

Is there a way to make SE80 prompt the user for saving the data if there are unsaved edits when the transaction is being closed?

(you know, like every *modern* IDE does by default...).

Thank you,

    Hi Pietro,

I dont think there is any option for what you need. If 2 sessions (windows) are open it wont ask you for confirmation of unsaved data while closing the window.

The best way is to save you data using Crtl+S every couple of minutes.

      Thank you Manish.

It's a shame. The SAP IDE for WDA development is horrendous compared to what the market has to offer (Eclipse comes to my mind), as in my opinion it has multiple shortcomings that limit both the productivity and the quality of the developers' work.

Unfortunately, we are on Netweaver 7.0 and my boss chose to use WDA instead of WDJ because of the poor RFC integration (models are a pain to mantain) and a WDJ transport system that was not properly set up.
