webdynpro application authentication

I want to perform user authentication using existing microsoft ADS(active directory services)i.e NT logon data from webdynpro running in WAS hosted in UNIX.

how to do that ?I will be showing the webdynpro application to only authenticated users.

HI Ananda,

You can configure your own microsoft ADS from the config tool. Here, you can specify your own UME. Then, your webdynpro application uses your microsoft ADS users for authentication.

How to do that ?

Scenario is :

1.User is logging in Windows 2003 using username/password(Using active directory)

2.user typed a URL which displays webdynpro screen which displays Hello <username> - which is coming from ADS

SO the point is how to retrieve info from ADS & displaying in webdynpro.

Hi Ananda,

If you want to achieve this. You can't get it directly.

You have to configure Windows integrated authentication for webdynpro applications.
