Server Tools installation stuck at "Registration into SLD" when using registrar generated SSL

Hi All,

Having a bizarre issue that is isolated to the production environment only. This was tested on 3 different test environments and succeeded as it should. I wanted to see if any of you had similar issues.

The system:

- Windows Server 2008 R2

- SAP 9.2 PL04 (SQL)

There is no issue when choosing "self-signed" certificate during the installation process. There is only an issue when I choose the certificate that was generated by our registrar.

The odd thing is that I have tested this on 3 different test environments and it has no problems. I'm at a loss as to why this may be happening as I thought maybe there was an issue with the initial CSR generation.

When choosing the .p12 that gets generated by the Registrar the Server Tools installation hangs at "Registration into SLD". It does absolutely nothing after that. I've left it running for over 3 hours in one instance. No errors, not even windows error. It just hangs.

If I kill the installation (because eventually that is what I need to do to get the installation to stop) the SLD does not load. So I need to wipe it from the registry and uninstall the other components, then reinstall with Self-Signed for it to work correctly.

I'm stumped; anyone have any similar issues?

Thanks!
