Uprade 4.0B to 4.7x200 - Error in phase SHADOW_IMPORT

Hello,

during the upgrade 4.0B -> 4.7x200 SR1 we're getting an error in phase SHADOW_IMPORT_INC:

2EETW000 sap_dext called with msgnr "1":
2EETW000 ---- db call info ----
2EETW000 function: db_setget
2EETW000 fcode: RT_GET (0)
2EETW000 tabname: DD02L
2EETW000 len: 31
2EETW000 key: CTS_PLUGIN A
2EETW000 ok fetches: 0
2EETW000 last entry:
2EETW000 retcode: 1
2EETW125 SQL error "904" during "" access: "ORA-00904: "WRONGCL":
invalid identifier"
1 ETP111 exit code : "12"

This is with R3trans 640_EX2/413

If we are using an older version (which comes with the installation media) this error is gone, but we are facing
then error:

HALT: unknown dynpro format: d021s_length() returned 0 Please contact the SAP support.

This is with R3trans 640/19

According to note 454321 we have to use R3trans with patchlevel >= 161 to prevent error d021s_length().

According to note 1115001 R3trans 700/137 seems to fix the ORA-00904 error.

Which 6.40 R3trans version does fix this problem?

Best Regards
Mario Mueller

P.S. We need to do a 2-step uprade because of business partner media migration (883536)

Hi Mario,

For R3 4.7 you may need to have 640 kernel only . Hence go with SAP note 454321 for relevant R3trans.

Hi,

as mentioned above, i used R3trans 640/413 but then i get the error

SQL error "904" during "" access: "ORA-00904: "WRONGCL"

This error can be prevented by using an older R3trans 640 version but then i get error d021s_length(). again.

Please help me to break this vicious circle.

Hi Mario,

Refer SAP note for ORA-00904 ,Note 731 - Collective note: ORA-00904

IT refers to some oracle event parameter.

Hi Deepak,

i read this note also. The mentioned event parameter is only to get the relevant table.

But i know the table already, it is DD02L.

Point 6 is the relevant for me:

6. If ORA-00904 occurs in SAP tables when you execute SAP tools such as R3trans

or TP, the tool version does not correspond to the R/3 DDIC. Make sure that you are using a tool version that corresponds to the R/3 DDIC.

Is there a way to get a specific patch level of R3trans, e.g. R3trans 640/161?

Hi Mario,

Please download R3trans 640 patch level 413 which is latest in the marketplace based on OS and hardware platform. Post the issue which comes after that.

Do not use 640_Ex2 kernel at this point of time.

Hi Deepak,

instead of changing R3trans und clicking repeat phase, i changed to R3trans 640/19, closed the upgrade assistant and then started it again. This does it! The upgrade assistant was then able to finish the SHADOW_IMPORT phase.

Strange behavour.

Thanks for your help.
