Store Business Documents on WD ABAP - Travel

Hi experts,

We are using SAP Portal 7 with BP 1.4 and ECC EHP4 for SAP Travel Management. On WD ABAP for travel management I don't find configuration to store business document on GOS services. This option is available on backend on PR05:

On the portal I can't see this option available:

We are studying with our external content provider the possibility so save a business document but I guess SAP standard does not deliver the possibility to store and open these documents through WD ABAP for travel management.

Would it be difficult to integrate this feature on the standard WD ABAP?

According to SAP documentation this feature would be available on EHP5 with FIN_TRAVEL_3:

Yes this is available. BUT - as I understand this would be stored on the application server.

If you think on electronic document storage I would prefer to store it on a professional archive solution like from opentext.

E.G they have also an SAP addon developed for this function:

Actually we already have a external storage provider - Saperion and they were asking if through the portal this functionality (store and open business documents) would be available. Do you know if on EhP5 it is available a new feature like the table of attachments on the webdynpro ABAP above where we can open the document stored as a business document and store a new one?

We ran into the exact same issue when in ECC 6, EP 4. Per SAP, this is available in EP6 :

"...

Unfortunately as I expected, this is

outside of the standard design and functionality for EHP5 version and

the possibilty to utlilise the optical archiving in this way as you

would require is only delivered with the EHP6 version, it simply is

not possible in the lower versions at the moment (as different

functionality is delivered with the business function FIN_TRAVEL_4)

so the system cannot handle for the portal version use of business

document in portal even with WD ABAP.

..."

We're in EP6 now, and cofirm that the option 'Store Business Document' is now available (not sure because of EP5 or EP6).
