Query on Business Role

Hi,

I have done the initial load of AS ABAP in DEV and created Business roles and the mapping of them to these Technical roles. Now, I am in a position to transport them. I have read the Transport documentation. I am doing a Full export from Dev and importing it into QA. Will these business roles and Technical roles also be transported into QA or should I do the Initial load in QA and then manually create business roles and their mappings.

Please advise.

My understanding is that the transport only copies Tasks/Jobs/repositories and global constants.

After importing the transport in Target, I believe you wold have to do the following

(1) Perform Initial load in Target system

(2) Re-create the business roles

(3) Group the privileges into business roles.

Of course, you can automate the role creation/grouping by using a job.

Shall see if others have an better idea.
