Chracteristic descriptions

I have installed all of the business content for a CRM scenario as per the building blocks. Everything looks ok and I have data in my ODS object.

When I create a query over the ODS everything looks good, except that I do not have a description for my organisational unit.

Can somebody explain how I can extract the org unit text from CRM. The characteristic in the ODS is 0CRM_SALORG which is being filled from InfoSource 0CRM_COMPLAINTS_I. I thought that there should also be an InfoObject called 0CRM_SALORG, but there isn't. There is an InfoObject called 0SALESORG.

I see where the reference characteristic is. I'll try loading the master data once I've worked out the DataSource.

    Hi Stuart,

0CRM_SALORG is a refernce char of 0ORGUNIT. This means that it uses the master data of 0ORGUNIT. Try loading the texts for 0ORGUNIT and you should get the descriptions.

    Hope this helps...

How do you know it is a reference characteristic?

What is troubling me is why I wasn't asked to load this master data characteristic in the building block. Any idea what the datasource would be, as I will have to replicate it first.

I now have the short description. I would quite like to have the long description. Any ideas?
