Can SUP Help Deploying Workflow Apps to Specific Groups of Users

All,

We have 4000 mobile devices where we have to deploy workflow apps. We need to create and maintain groups of users so that users belong to one group will get certain apps while others will get apps related to their group. Following scenario can highlights what i want to achieve

Groups                 Users belong to group                            applications to deploy

Group 1                user1, user2, user3, user4000 etc.            worflow1, workflow5, workflow10 etc.

So on

Question here is that "how we can achieve it via SUP". Afaria will send only Workflow container. SUP will have to send these workflow apps. I am 100% sure that medium to large enterprise must have the same situation. Your help will be much appreciated.

This is a standard feature in SUP 2.2. 

•In the Security Config screen, admins create a logical role mapped to an available physical role in LDAP or AD

•Admins then create an Application Connection Template

•Assign hybrid apps

•Pick the logical role

•When the user connects for the first time, the system checks role membership, and he/she automatically downloads the hybrid apps assigned to their template

Thanks for the reply, really appreciated. We are using SUP 2.1.3 version . Is there similar kind of option available in 2.1.3?

You mentioned "when the user connects for the first time". Question is, "how user will connect first time since he does not have any workflow app" (only workflow container sent by Afaria). Am i missing something?

Sorry for the above question, actually i was thinking in another way. I understand it.

Just need clarification if SUP 2.1.3 offers such functionality. We will be upgrading to SUP2.2 soon.

No, this was first available in SUP 2.2.

ommm, i beleive "Registration of Application Connection" will be different in SUP2.2 because in 2.1.3, we have to select Template as well as Application ID (that means one application is linked to the Template selected, pls see the image).
