Dear Venkata,

According to your business require you need to price the SFG as V price moving average

So you need to work under material ledger / actual costing   because Actual costing expands upon the functionality of the application components with the purpose of determining actual costs for externally procured materials and materials produced in-house.

In addition, actual costing uses actual costs to valuate material inventories, such as raw materials as well as semi-finished and finished products.

I hope that’s help you

Dear Ashok,

Sorry for the delay,

My client is not interested to change the price control S. They will not purchase the SFG from outside. But they are not interested to convert.they want yearly once they will do the standard cost estimate.

Dear Venkat,

You can maintain price control V or S it all based on client requirement/Business process how he is going to valuate price standard price/actual price.

S- Inhouse FG/SFG (subcontracting)

V - Moving average vendor procurement /subcontracting

If client is operating the business at standard price then you can maintain 'S' indicator for semi-finished and finished. But if your client requires at actual then you need to take 'V' moving avg.

When you take V indicator all the goods movements and invoices will be considered. Some clients prefer to go at actual. It is not mandatory that we need to maintain S indicator.

This all based on business requirement and how your going to control prices for better valuation.

Hi Rama,

Here u r telling the value of SFG is rm1 and rm2, so here are doing std cost estimate for sfg also. if so u need to maintain price control S.

For all in-house productions u need to maintain price control "S"  as per sap suggestion.

if u purchase that SFG  at vendor , then u can maintain V for this also.

u can maintain V for rm.

Hope it helps u, let me know if any query's.

Regards,
Ashok
