Hi,

In my system sybase unwired server service is  not starting and its giving following error message in the system event log "Service stopped because the following child services either could not be started or failed to keep running. MlsrvWrapper.exe".

In mlsrv_err  file shows following error message "<Main> [-10002] Consolidated database server or ODBC error:  ODBC: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Invalid user ID or password (ODBC State = 28000, Native error code = -103)

E. 2013-03-13 17:01:50. <Main> [-10382] The MobiLink Server has failed to start".

In Server Log file shows following error message "ERROR   MMS          Thread-35 [com.sybase.sup.server.monitoring.StartMonitoringService] com.sybase.sup.server.monitoring.StartScheduledMonitoringThread.run()java.lang.NullPointerException".

Could you please help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks in Advance.

Has this been resolved?

Facing the same issue. By any chance is this related to the SUP being on a Virtual server?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

i could not resolve this, only be re-installing SUP. I am running on VM , so i snapshot on a regular basis from past experieces with the product. I was able to recreate this by mapping an LDAP group to the 'admin' security role with the "SAP Developer". This caused a failure to start. I dont know how they are related , this is just my experience.

Well the ML Server will not come up if it cannot connect to the CDB.  So in this case:

In mlsrv_err  file shows following error message "<Main> [-10002] Consolidated database server or ODBC error:  ODBC: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Invalid user ID or password (ODBC State = 28000, Native error code = -103)

E. 2013-03-13 17:01:50. <Main> [-10382] The MobiLink Server has failed to start".

You seem to have a bad Id or password in one of the configuration files

Was this resolved ?

I am getting this error which started on March 15, 2013.

from: mlsrv_err.log

I. 2013-03-19 08:28:07. <Main> Local file for remote synchronization logs: 'mlsrv.mle'

E. 2013-03-19 08:28:07. <Main> [-10002] Consolidated database server or ODBC error:  ODBC: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Invalid user ID or password (ODBC State = 28000, Native error code = -103)

E. 2013-03-19 08:28:07. <Main> [-10382] The MobiLink Server has failed to start

No usernames / passwords have been modified, and configurations havent been changed as this is the same running on QAS/PROD except this is a Enterprise Development and test machine.

Tried manuallly starting this , and same result.

I have submitted a support request , and just waiting now.

Hi Soumyasanto,

Thanks for response, User ID and Password are both correct. I try to started service (MlsrvWrapper.exe) manually then it started and immediately its stopped.

Where I can download MlsrvWrapper.exe file. Is MlsrvWrapper is SUP component or windows component?
