Delivery problem

Hi,

In my sales order to delivery for few sales orders system is accepting to entering into delivery screen eventhough there is no stock,

For few order types system is stopping at intial screen of delivery stating as "No schedulelines for the selection date".

As per my knowledge it is controlling through item category + schedule lines with availability check.

Both the materials are MTO only.

I would like to know exact configuration setting because of which system is not entering into delivery screen when there is no stock.

Suggestions pls...

Hello Abhi

Understood that you are facing issues when creating a delivery for sales order with 2 line items (both MTO).

In MTO case, usually the process is as below.

The requirements for the materials are created with respect to a sales order and  once MRP is run, a PR will be generated with items comprising the sales order details in the account assignment tab. That is stock for the items sales order comes as special stock when GR is done for the PO created from PR.

Note: The PR wont be seen in the schedule lines tab in sales order.

In your scenario, for first line item stock might have been posted so it is coming in the delivery creation screen. For the second line, GR might not have been done.

To confirm this,  check if the qty/plant/item category field are grayed out in SO. If grayed out, then GR might have been done for the PO created with the PR. Once GR is done, re run the availability check then the new schedule line date will be updated in the SO.

Please create the delivery in VL01N with the latest date of the two items and sales order.

Hi Abhi,

System allows to create the delivery with the scheduled date(You can get this date at sale order- schedule line). 

If the delivery creation date is less than the scheduled date, you can get "No schedulelines for the selection date",

Further to Alain's reply, check whats the date you have in schedule line, now goto VL01N and give that date, system will show you all the line items.

Hi,

"No schedulelines for the selection date" means there are ... no schedulelines for the selection date. This message is not relative to material availability : extend the period on the selection screen.
