Hello,
we have some archived data stored in a content repository and now we would like to migrate those 'files' to a different server/content repository.
I assume moving the files is not a problem on an archive server level, but in SAP I am not sure on how to modify the archiving sessions so they point to the new location. For example, how to modify the corresponding entries in table ADMI_FILES to point to the new location.
I was wondering if SAP already has an standard process for that kind of migration, or what would be the best approach for this.
Many thanks in advance.
Javier
I think Note 460620 - Migrating archive files will be helpful in this case, You can ignore my previous post

Hello,
From my point of view I can offer you the following SAP notes which will be useful to migrate data from a storage category:
688241 Relocating large SAP Content Server Repositories
445057 Relocating a repository
350067 ContentServer SAP DB administration
389366 Relocation of documents

Hello,
thank you both for your help, but these oss notes describes big scenarios like whole content repository migration. In my case, I just have to move a few files with a few documents inside.
So my approach would be more like first retrieve the files from the archive, and then try to archive again (with the new customizing) so they will be stored in the new repository.
This approach has the problem that you cannot rearchive an archiving session already correctly stored, so you need to manually modify the entry in table ADMI_FILES, which I am afraid is not supported by SAP. But I have tested it in the integration system and seems to work fine.
Best regards,
Javier
If you are using Open text server and If you want to move files or archived records from exisisting CR to another CR in new server then you have to create a CR in the new server with the same name as previous one , after creating the new CR in the same name , simply import the files from source system to target system and change the connection settings in the OAC0, this should solve your issue.
With regards,
Tony.
