Start and Stop the IDM for backup

Hi, i´ll backup our Server, where IdM, SQL-Server,... are running. I think, i´ve to stop this! Can anyone tell me, how to stop and start the IdM?

First of all: any decent DBMS should allow a backup while online.

Secondly, just stop the dispatchers and make sure that nobody has the Identity Center open. You can then make a backup and then restart all the dispatchers. You can either use the Identity Center to do this or the OS...

Hi,

You can start and stop a dispatcher from the command line with the following commands:

dispatcher_service_<dispatcher name> start

dispatcher_service_<dispatcher name> stop

I would suggest your read through this document as it talks about backup.
