Error during installation of oracle s/w on Win-2008 X-64

Hi experts,

i m Going to install ECC6.0 on Windows X-64 2008 Enterprise edition server.

but during installation of oracle 10g i m getting the error "abnormal program terminate"

scree shot attached for the referenced.

CD label i m using-------SAP:::MM::D51031678

Please do the needful to fix this error.

Hi Vivek,

1) Error screenshot is from SNOTE and not Oracle installation.

2) I shall recommend you to install Oracle 11g instead of Oracle 10g as SAP has stopped support for Oracle 10g.

3) Relevant DVDs for Oracle 11g can be found as below

Thanks Deepak for such information.

But when i install oracle 11G not able to install SAP ECC6.0

because at the time of installation he has no option for database 11g. only for 10g option is showing.

Please suggest.?

May be ECC6.0 not support 11G...

Hi Vivek,

The use of the Installation Master DVD for system installation and copy for SAP NetWeaver 7.0x based releases has become absolete. From now on please use the 70SWPM.SAR Package, instead of the Installation Master DVD and find further information, constraints, and recommendations in SAP Note 1680045.

Incase you want to go with Installation Master then look for following DVD BS7i2010 Inst.Mst. WIN Server x64 64bit Oracle 10.2/11.2 (#51043619).

Hi Vivek,

You can either use SPM to install or raise an OSS for delivering this DVD.

As an alternative refer SAP Note 980426 - Oracle 10.2 Software installation on new operating systems and work with oracle 10g database.

Hi Vivek,

ERP 6.0 do support Oracle 11g. Please see the below screenshot from PAM.

Before installing, could you please check which version of Oracle you have installed?

Just go to SQL mode.

From the screenshot given by you, it can be seen that E:\Oracle\STP\112 , which seems 11g is installed.

Please check this and let us know.

oracle 11g is installed but our installation master doesn't support 11g.

so please provide me the NEW installation master CD nuber which have option for 11g

For Oracle 11g the CD number which I publish above holds good. If it is not available in SAP Marketplace you may request SAP to deliver it.

Please search for the below DVD's and see whether you have access. Mostly you should be having the access.

Hi Vivek,

Oracle 10.2.0.5 DVD you won't get.

1. You have to install Oracle 10.2 and then

2. Apply patch 10.2.0.5

Here is the installation DVD no.

You need to download this DVD 51036975- ORACLE 10.2.0.4 Failsafe Server 3.4.1.5 Windows 2008

and try with this DVD.
