Question about MSS business package 630

Hi All,

    We are upgrading to MSS BP 630 and I am not sure what version of MSS it has based on package name (630). Does this mean it is version 30? Also, I am trying to find what information is in this package but not able to sucessfully find the information on SAP site. Can you please provide me some pointers, where to get the information below:

1) Version in MSS 630

2) Contenets of MSS 630

Hi Everyone,

    Any ideas please? I am thinking MSS 630 means version 63.0 because we are upgrading from version MSS 60.1 to MSS 630. Also when I am going thorugh threads it refers to buisess package (BP) for MSS 1.41 and little puzzled about the difference. What is the difference between "SAP MSS 630" and "BP for MSS 1.41"?

To clear your queries refer following SAP notes.

Note 1618606 - Patches for SAP Business Suite 7 for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 hub

Note 1681538 - BP MSS 60.1.XX on NW7.3 - Caution

Note 1615463 - SAP Business Suite 7i 2010 for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 hub systems

You will be required to upgrade your Portal environment to NW 7.3 before applying MSS 630

Thanks Deepak. We already upgraded to NW 7.3 keeping old MSS 60.1 and now upgrading to MSS 630. I have gone through notes but sorry to ask again, what is the difference between "MSS 630" which we are upgrading to and "BP for MSS 1.41"? Whenever I search for documentation on SDN to find what is inside MSS 630, it keeps referring to BP for MSS 1.41 or BP for MSS 1.51. I think they are not the same but not sure what the difference is! We are upgrading MSS package after a long time, and so trying to find the documentation due to huge gap.

Hi Ravi,

As described above you may refer those notes for MSS 630. The difference between MSS 1.4 and MSS 630 is the underlying NW Technology. MSS 630 and above applications are termed as hub deployment components over the central hub component which is NW JAVA 730.

SAP NetWeaver components of the central hub (integration capabilities like BW, EP or PI) are in addition shared by one or more SAP Business Suite application system. This implies that product instances of one or more SAP Business Suite product versions might also use this technical system (for SAP Business Suite content or applications deployed on the central SAP NetWeaver hub)
