Special Characters in punchout catalog

Hi Experts,

We have recently upgraded to SRM 7.0 EHP2, and after the upgrade, when we try to select a item from a punchout catalog and when the item is transfering to SRM shopping cart screen from the catalog site, if there are any special characters like #, %, & , " : etc in the item description the item is not getting transferred to SRM shopping cart screen.

Could you one advise if you have a similar issue. Points will be rewarded.

Hi MS,

Check the catalog call structure if the parameter BYPASS_INB_HANDLER exists with value X.

If yes, delete the X.

From SRM 7.0 the inbound handler is responsible for the character conversion. By setting the value X to BYPASS_INB_HANDLER, you are actually disabling the inbound handler, so the correct conversion cannot take place.

If it would not help, let me know if you have maintained any codepage in the webservice customizing.
