Xcelsious fails to export large SWF, error "cause unknown"

Our team uses Xcelsious 4.0 Dashboard Design  to produce monthly reports.  The program is currently failing to produce basic exports to pdf, ppt, word etc.

The following error is produced after the attempted export.

"Could not generate the Flash file (SWF); the cause is not known. Try again. If the problem persists, contact your customer support representative."

Xcelsious then continues to generate a blank document, such as a blank PDF.

We have not been able to identify a way around this error.  The only pattern we've noticed is that the error appears to occur more frequently with our larger files.  This months report is 8.1 MB and has not successfully exported once despite multiple efforts.

I am running Windows XP 32 bit with office 2007.

Does anyone know what can be done to prevent this error and successfully export larger SWF files?

Note: The Preview function also results in this error.

Hello Benjamin,

we got too your problem in Xcelsius 2008 , we could not export our dashboard in anyway until we reduce its size, by reducing as much possilble the number of  Excel formulas and sheets and Xcelsius component if possible.

Hope this helps

Hello Benjamin,

What's your version of Flash player? Could you try to re-install it and see if the error remains?

I know that my post could be obvious / stupid, but I don't discard a flash player issue.

Is there no way to reduce the size of the file?  For example, if the filesize is due to a very large amount of raw data, how about putting this data in a separate XML file and using an XML Data Connection to grab it when the SWF file loads?
