0Mat_unit load fails everyday.

Hi Experts,

We have 0MAT_UNIT data loads everyday. Its a full load.

From last couple of days , the load is getting failed . The reason is, some of the material like ZE00-24SXTLF is carrying 2-3 space character after the material  code. Due to this the load is getting failed.

Material

ZE00-24SXTLF    -->       ZE00-24SXTLF***   ( Here * represents space to understand)

Everyday I do the manual rectification to remove the extra spaces and load the data.

When I checked withe the core R/3 team member, I found the same is maintained in R/3.

Manually removing the extra spaces everyday is not the solution.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks,

Sanjana

Sanjana,

Inform the User to enter with naming culture which will not hanmper BI properties.

And as Amar suggested you can write a small routine to eradicate the issues.

Which will help your time , as you doesn't require to go to user again and again.

You can use RSKC or routine.

if users fixes the data then it should fix the issue.

but can you gurantee the user or any other user miht not mess up,, so better to create a routine to remove spaces

SHIFT LEFT DELETING LEADING Space

or SHIFT RIGHT

you could use some of these codes

Hi Sanjana,

Please check with users who are entering this records into SAP. if your getting error for same material - ZE00-24SXTLF or some specifi naming conversion. explain bw issue to the user(who are entering into sap) and ask them enter as business standards way only.

Thanks

Hi Raman,

I have already informed the user. The problem is ,its a full load . so every day I am doing the same procedure.

If the user enters the right code... will it solve the issue ? Or I need to write the routine  ?

Thanks,

Sanjana

Hi Sanjana,

For new entries which are going to enter by today onwards you won't get any issues in data. but old data was wrong in ecc as my guess. for that you better to main chars in RSKC.

Add ALT 255 at RSKC character list and do the load.its resolve your issue forever.

Thanks

Hi Sanjana,

Yes if user enters right code issue will get solved.

But you can write a routine to remove these characters so that you will not required to go back to user, decision is yours.
