Variables containing "-" in name, showing "\" after refresh

Hi Experts,

Issue: When i open a report in Bex analyzer, run it once for the selections in which there is a hyphen(-) contained in name. It executes fine.

Now, if i open the variable selection screen and see those selections that I have made earlier, I will see a pair of "\"(back slash) with hyphen. i.e. "..\-\.." in variable selection screen.

It increments each time i open the variable selection screen and runs the report  i.e. number of "\" increments by one ("..\\-\\..") after each refresh of report.

I am using SAP GUI 7.2 SP 4.

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Hi Nishant,

Please apply following notes which should solve your issue.

1540273 - Different Issues with selector on F4

1806725 - Selector: Contains patters operator gets converted to equal.

These notes contains ABAP corrections and you can apply via SNOTE.

Hi,

This note- 1540273 is suggesting to import SP3 for BW 7.3 .

But ours is already BW 7.3 SP4.

I would suggest you to please implement below Note through SNOTE.
