SAP Controlling number ranges - Note # 4958

Hi all,

I wanted to copy the CO number ranges from one controlling area to the next one. I got the error message, that the business transactions in controlling area XXX are not the same as in controlling area XXX. I found several hints, that SAP Note 4958 will solve the problem. However I still have a few questions:

• What is the reason, that the business transactions have not been created? In the new controlling area are 0 business transactions
• The report suggested in Note 4958 will create business transactions in all controlling areas, is some action required with newly created business transactiosn in already running controlling areas?
• Will there be any impact on already used controlling area?
• Will the new created business transaction be directy assigned to the no assigned group within the number ranges?

Hi Markus

Just execute the report (RKTKA04C) and after that copy no ranges from KANK. It will be done w/o any impact on any one else
