Hi All,
We have 5 Instances as:
SRM EBP(AS ABAP and AS JAVA),SRM SUS(AS ABAP and AS JAVA),Process Integration
which are Installed in one Single Server with 12 GB of RAM.So it's performance is very Poor.
We are planning to Install a Dialog Instance in another Machine(Hardware) for Load Balancing Purpose.
Can anyone tell me the steps for the same. How the Central Instance of one Machine will communicate with other Dialog Instance?
Kindly share some links for the same.
Many Thanks
Ajitabh
Make sure you go through dialog instance installation steps in the SAP installation guide .The message server which is part of the central instance or the SCS instance acts as a messenger between the instances . When you install a dialog instance , you are just expected to provide the path to the profile directory to sapinst and sapinst will take care of the rest.

Hi Ratnajit,
Thanks for the reply. As I have started Dialog Instance Installation in Another Machine(Hardware).
Please correct me that I have to Keep the Central Instance Up while Dialog Instance Installation.
Am I ryt?
I am getting below error while Dialog Instance Installation:
Can not access <\\(HOSTNAME)\sapmnt\IDE\SYS\global\db6\db2cli.ini> or
<\\(HOSTNAME)\sapmnt\IDE\SYS\global\db6\db2cli.ini>. Please mount directories
from global host.
Can you please suggest?
Thanks

Hi Ratnajit,
Thanks for your reply.
I have manually created \\(HOSTNAME)\sapmnt\IDE\SYS\global\db6 directories and copy the db2cli.ini file in that directory in the Machine where I am
running the Dialog Instance Installation.Still facing the same issue.
Kindly help me out.
Thanks
Ajitabh
