Hi All,
I would like to know what is difference b/w “AUM”=Expenses/revenue from stock transfer and “PRD”=cost (price) difference when these are trigged please give some feed.
Thanks for your time

Bhragav
Hi Bhargav,
The PRD (cost/price differnce) is triggered usually when the materials are procured on a price which is less than or more than the price maintained in Material Master when it is "S".
The AUM (Exp./revenue from stock transfers) usually for the differnces because of transfer of materials from one plant to other plant or one company code to other company code.
in FI two differnt accounts are maintained one for PRD other one for AUM which are configured in OBYC.
Example-
AUM Stcok Transfer Difference:
Price for Buying Plant 100
Material Price for Supplying Plant 150
The Accouting posting would be:
Debit Buying Plant Inventory100
Debit Price Difference for Stock Transfer 50
Credit Supplying Plant Inventory150
PRD Differnce Example:
Material Master Std Price = 150 Rs.
PO Price= 180 Rs. Qty 10
Accounting Entry will be:
BSX Inventory Account Dr. 1500
PRD Price Variance Dr. 300
WRX GR/IR Account Cr. 1800

Hi,
AUM : Stock transfers are there between Plants and from one Movement type to another with split valuation. The difference between the price at the delivering plant and the receiving point is booked at the later.
PRD : Price Difference
