scheduling of work orders

Our shutdown is going on, and I use IW70 for work order scheduling. At the same time I compare Primavera project with SAP PS Project. I face some problem in scheduling i.e. when I schedule work orders at the start of the day then the results of both systems are correct. But when I schedule work order in the mid of the day then SAP's results are not correct. View of both projects are attached.

    Hi Tanweer,

I think it is best to ask this question in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) space.

    Regards,

    Hi Tanweer,

You were not so explicit in what you see as incorrect in the SAP view. In the Primavera screenshot, the actual duration is 16 Hours, whilst the SAP screenshot shows planned values. It would have been interesting to show also the actual dates for the SAP operation - from the confirmation details.

I'm not sure how Primavera derives the actual duration - but in SAP PM an operation is deemed to be continual - the actual duration measured from the earliest confirmed start to the end of the latest confirmation. Unless Primavera calculates the same way - there may well be differences. Not necessarily right and wrong - just different.

Also be reminded that SAP will contain the most recent data entered - whilst Primavera will contain only the most recent extract from SAP and any other changes made in Primavera.

    Regards

    Andrew

    Greetings Tanweer,

What SAP displays in your screen are the same planned duration values as in Primavera, so there is no error there.

To see the actual duration you need to drill down from the Order view into Operation > Actual Data > Confirmations or call up the transaction IW47 - Confirmation List

Could this be a system time-zone issue?
