EPM 10 Excel Time Total Roll Ups Error

Hello Gurus,

We are using SAP BPC EPM 10 SP12 netweaver. We encountered an unusual scenario where the TOTAL time is not rolling up correctly or not rolling up at all. At first I thought that is because of the account type that is having an LEQ or AST. even the account type is INC or EXP we still facing the same issue.

The problem is that, when we expand two years ex. (member and base level of "2013.TOTAL" and "2014.TOTAL") and the only value is in 2014.Q1,

the report expanded the correct column as 12 months of 2013 plus 2013.total, 12 months of 2014 plus 2014.total. the issue is that, we can see the value of the 12 months of 2014 but in 2014.total, there is no value at all. This is strange because it supposed to roll up to 2014.total.

then if we created a report of member and base level of 2014.total, the report is showing the value of the 12 months and also the 2014.total. so this is fine.

but when we populate 2 years or more, the 2014.total is not showing at all, what could be the problem with this one? its happening to every pc.

we also process and optimize the dimension and model respectively. we are currently at lost on how to solve this issue. Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks for the reply. We manage to resolve the issue. The report template shows some values but in the back end it shows no value. We did some configuration in the optimize package so that the zero values removed.

Hi Yajepe,

As Vadim has correctly indicated, there should not be any problems.

What happens if you display only the TOTALs in your templates? Do you see any data?

Please check your hierarchy once again in BPC, and then check the hierarchy in the BW system also for the time dimension.

When I tried to display only Totals, it doesnt show any value. as long as i dont put 2 years or more.

but when I tried to populate 2 years by months and a year after dec. the 2014.total values are showing.

so it happens every time there's a two year. one is 2013.total plus the member and children of 2014.total as you can see on the image attached above.

This shouldn't be happening right? I don't know how to troubleshoot nor to fix this issue.

I will try to copy those data to other time and investigate more why this is occurs.

Hi Yajepe,

I made a simple test and found no issues with 2 years and totals. SAP BPC EPM 10 SP13.
