    Venu,

I am not sure exactly what you mean when you say "where sto is determined".

In the receiving plant material master, you configure MRP to determine how the parts will be PLANNED. One of these decisions is what type of supply elements are to be produced (Internal vs External). When there is a shortage in the receiving plant, MRP will then automatically produce one of these supply elements during the planning run. You can also fine tune the decision such that when an External element is produced, you can default it to the type that is designed to be turned into a Stock Transport order.

Outside of planning, one can manually create a Stock transport Order between any two plants, providing proper configuration and master data maintenance has been done. In this case, no determination is done during planning.

When configuring an STO, many stars must be in alignment in BOTH the supplying plant and the receiving plant; both master data and configuration, in order to make the entire process work.

    Best Regards,

STO will be created by the receiving plant since it is the "Buyer" of the material.

On the SD side the STO is picked up by the supplying plant via VL10B or VL10D. These transaction reports can also be used to find new STO's that have been created or as is common a release strategy in the STO where a mail is sent to the supplying plant.

    Hi,

If you already created STO or wants to creates a STO, you can find vendor number in STO which is your supplying plant and Plant name in STO which is your receiving plant.

The supplying plant assigned to vendor master and customer cretaed for supplying plant & assign this customer with receiving plant
