Unable to delete the Role in EP!

Hi,

After we upgraded our EP60 to SP9, I'm unable to delete the role. I can delete iViews, Page, Worksets, folder but not Role. It gives me message that "Object has dependcies. Deleting this object will invalidate the dependent object. Are you sure you want to delete?". Then it does nothing when after clicking "Yes". Does anyone had this problem?

Thanks.

Bijay

    Hi Bijay,

This problem normally occurs when an object is blocked in a transport package or a package of translation.

Verifies if this Role that you this trying to delete is not dependent of these objects.

In case that contrary still it can be inserted in a another Role or Workset.

You should unassign all users under this role. You also need unassign the desktop if you assign the specified desktop to this role (SystemAdministration->display). Then the warning should disappear.

I know and have already checked if there were any users assigned and also checked the transport package. In some cases this is true. However the ones I'm having issue are not in transport packages and not assigned to any users, and not assigned to desktop either. It still gives me an error.

In fact there's something called "Delta Trace link" but this link doesn't give any meaningful result.

    Thanks for your help.
