Is it possible to split non-flat input file into header/lines using Transform?

Hello colleagues,

I need to load data from non-flat file containing "Object" Header and Lines into corresponding HANA DB tables. Could I do it using Transform? Which Transform type should be used?

    Hello

This is possible using the file format, however it depends on your exact file structure.

The ignore row markers setting can be used to filter for only headers or lines (assuming your structure has an indicator). So, for easy consumption of the 2 record types, 2 file formats would be defined.

Well spotted - yes the file would be read twice using this mechanism (although it could be in parallel). If you only want to read the file once, define a file format that covers both the header and line records (a big string perhaps), and then use the case to split the record types and query tranforms to convert to the correct record structure for each type.
