Hi dear Gurus,

I'm facing this issue configuring Managed System Configuration ==> Step 7 Configure Automatically ==> Byte Code Adapter Installation

Failed to update VM parameters: - com.sap.smdagent.vmmanager.VMManagerException: Failed to use JMX service

System is a Netweaver 7.31 AIX/DB2 Cluster

Solution Manager 7.1 SPS07

I applied note
1667964  - Failed to load vm properties from File System, it didn't solve my problem.

Thanks for your answer Hugo, SOLMAN_ADMIN is in status green, and Satellyte System Quality Portal ran fine. Problem is with Productive Portal which is in a cluster environment.

Maybe the troubleshooting guide attached to note 797147 can help you (Section 8.8 Q: JMX data (Threads, sessions, JDBC connections) does not appear)

Hi Jose Luis,

Check that under  transaction SOLMAN_SETUP //  System prepration // user id SOLMAN_ADMIN is with the red color ,  if so, here you need to update authorization of this id and after that you can rerun manage system config for the system.
