Hello Experts

We are having Issues in our Production Box while loading Flat files from Application Server.

Our box recently got upgraded to BW 7.3 . We never faced this issue in BW 7.0.

While trying to load we are getting the below error.

Please help!

Thanks.

We finally solved this issue... We had to apply Note 1698685 - error in function module RSDS_CONVERT_NUMBER

It applies to BW 7.3 non-unicoded environments. It fixes a problem in RSDS_CONVERT_NUMBER function module.

Regards.

Manuel.-

Hi Guys,

I had the similar issue in the infopackage which was loading from flat file to PSA.And it was resolved by changing the character setting to Direct  Entry instead of default setting in extraction tab of the infopackage. Character set - 1100 , Replacement Character- # .

Thank You.

could be special.. do this go to the log in inside the data target and it will show u more detail of the error this way you can pin point which record its having issues on, also sometimes text has issue sin 7.3 so make sure in your transformation you have a formula to convert it to upper case set up for all your text fields.

I cannot check the data in PSA as the load is not bringing anything to PSA.

It is failing while extraction and there are no records extracted to PSA.

are your files csv or fixed length?

Hi.. I'm working with Neetha...

Our file is CSV.

It does not have any kind of error (we are trying with 1 record only). We loaded the same file in a 7.0 environment and it loads successfully. Seems to be a 7.3 problem.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

in yur infopackage when loading do you have USe conversion routine checked?

also you could under extraction file name and click on routine and create a file path from yrou desktop with the bad records( save bad records file to your desktop) and put a break-point in it the routine and run it this will help you debugg it as well..

Hi Neetha,

Please check the flat file data may contain any special chars, invalid chars or lower case letters.

Please look at  SAP Note 1130965. Might be useful

Thanks

The file only contains numbers .

I already looked at the SAP note mentioned. The default system code is 1100 in the Infopackage.

Hi ,

please check any space after the number in flat files.

Test character set(1100,1101,1102....etc) one by one until you find the right one.

pls go thru below link, might be useful
