Re: SAP NW7 EPH1 AS ABAP MaxDb Windows Server 2008 Installation.

Sapinst stopped at first step (Creating OS Users). It didn't like my Master password. Can I restart using same SID, system number, etc because nothing has been installed yet?

Is this correct?

I wasn't asked for this file NW 7.0 EHP1 SR1 Dev. WP for SWPM 1 of 6 (previous threads indicated as a requirement).

    Hi Abu,

Yes, you may restart your installation. Clean the installation directory and initiate installation again from scratch.

    Hi Abu,

As well as please check whether SAPINST is prompting that the user provided is not compatible as per the OS standard,

In that case, please check with your system administrator to disable the password complexity or you can perform the following steps.

    Here's how:

    1. Click start and type gpedit.msc to open the Policy Editor
    2. Open Computer Configuration (left hand pane)
    3. Open Windows Settings (left hand pane)
    4. Open Security Settings (left hand pane)
    5. Open Account Policies (left hand pane)
    6. Open Password Policy (left hand pane)
    7. Doubleclick on the Password must meet complexity requirements
    8. Select Disabled
    9. Press OK
    10. Close the Policy Editor
    11. Run gpupdate.exe

Please share the error screen you are getting.

    Thanks and Regards,

Good spot. I think this maybe the problem, because SApinst creates user that has password that conflicts with host password policy. Let me check with Admin.
