Diagonists agent error in solman

Dear Experts ,

Please find the log for SMD agent in development server...

I cant able to attach this with SOLMAN....

Installed willy introscope in SOLMAN.......

In Managed system configuration it is shows error.....

I didnt completed post installation activities in DAA agent..?how to do that?

Rz70 it is working fine....

Please suggest me how to add this DEV systemn to SOLMAN.......

Hi,

still you can attach the managed system configuration error screen shot in SCN?

any way its fine, please follow the below wiki and register the SMD agents of managed system into Solution manager either SLD or direct way.

Hi Thamodaran,

Is your SMD is running in DEV system..? if yes is that is showing in Agent admin page of solman..?

to connect your agent run the following commands

1. STOP the SMD Agent using the command stopsap or by the SAP MMC.

2. Open a prompt command and navigate to the script folder inside of the agent path: usr/sap/<SID_AGT>/SMDAXX/script

3.Execute the oneof the command which is applicable for you

1.Connection by Message Server:

        - smdsetup managingconf hostname:"sapms://solman.full.qual.host.name" port:"8101" user:"SMD_ADMIN" pwd:"XXXXXXXX"

2.Connection by P4 port:

     - smdsetup managingconf hostname:"solman.full.qual.host.name” port:"5004" user:"SMD_ADMIN" pwd:"XXXXXXXX"

then run the below command also

smdsetup changeservername servername:"hostname" (not full.qual.name)

Now check the agent admin page of solman.

Hello Thamodaran,

Check the Diagnostic agent is running in MMC of DEV if it is running then stop the agent in DEV and execute the commands and start the agent.

did you connect your agent with solman and sld?

if not, go to /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA97/script and run the script with the following options:

./smdsetup.sh sldconf hostname:"fqdn of sld" port:"5$$00" user:"user with sld rights" pwd:"password of user"

next run it again, but now with following options:

./smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"fqdn of solman" port:"5$$04" user:"user with solman rights" pwd:"password of user"

Now, in Managed System Setup you should be able to find your Agent in Diagnostics Agent Setup step of solman_setup (maybe you need to fetch it from sld)

Let me know the outcome.

In SLD i cant able to see development server i can see only solman diagonists agent...

I execute in development server.....

Is it correct or i wantt o execute in solman with development server details....

Execute the action 'sldconf' to update the sld configuration for agent registration in SLD.

I checked in development system that SMD97 is installed but not configured....

Pls tell me how to configure it....

After executing command, you will not see it as a system in SLD.

Only under Administration - Automatically Updated Data.

But is it visible in solman_setup?
