Shift Assignment

Hi SDN folks,

Can anybody help me out in to assign different shifts to different employees?

Though the system is changing the shifts every week but all the employees are in the same shift.

LIKE: suppose in the 1st week, all the employees are in the first shift.. In the 2nd week, all the employees are in the second shift ... But I want the proper assignment of shifts amongst the employees.

My Requirement:

Suppose I have 3 employees (say: XX, YY and ZZ) working in d same

department. Out of these three I want XX to be in first shift, YY in second shift and ZZ in

third shift (on the same day)..

PLZ HELP ME IN THIS,,

Hi,

Create 3 different work schedule rules in table V_T508A and generate and assign it employee based on shift timings.

Hi Rajshekhar,

I have already created one work schedule rule in table V_T508A... (plz refer the screen shot below).. And have assigned the same to all the employees in IT0007.. U want me to create two more of the same type? And even if I create two more, then shud I be using the same PWS?? Plz let me know this.

And also U r askin me to generate and assign --- Cud u plz let me know how to generate it??

hi

create three work chedule rule by using the 3 PWS.but your DWS should be different from each other.

EX; XX-Morning

YY-Eve

ZZ-nig

Then create break times as per them and 3 dws and create 3 PWS then in V_T508A create three WSrules.

Then in feature SCHKZ assign the WSrule to the respective employee groups.

So all I need todo is JUST CREATE 2 more WSR in T508A and generate them... nothing more?? or do I need to assign them any where else in SPRO??

And - Cud u plz let me know how to generate them??

hi

it is very easy to generate if you diid in v_t508A then go to T.Code 'PT01' and fill all the required fields then excute.

confused .....

in ur previous post u had said USE SAME PWS... but in ur latest reply u r asking me to create 3 PWS.. 3 DWS... and then 3 WSR...

plz ley me know which one to follow ...

sorry to that my first one was edited by me after 1 min.

See the three ESG having three differen shifts. so, We need to create 3 DWS, 3PWS, and three WSrules and assign in the feature.

Hi,

Please check the below screen shot.

First create 3 different DWS in V_T550A .

Assign the 3 DWS in table V_T551A to creation of PWS.

Create  3 Work schedule rules in table V_T508A and assign the PWS and generate work schedules from PT_SHF00

Thats OK

Now see::

1) I already have 3 DWS ::; as - Shift I, Shift II and Shift III

2) I do also have 3 PWS ::: as - ROTT, ROTT and ROTT

3) But I have only ONE WSR :::

Now plz guide me how to configure this...

P.S:: My ESG is 2 for all the employees..

good , you finished 75%.

Now you create another 2 wsrules in v_T508a.

EX.

If you created first WSR using first PWS.

then create 2wsr using 2nd PWS and create 3rd WSr using 3rdPWS .

Then go to PT01 choose your groupings and holiday calender and other.

then generate it. Like this way do for the remaing 2 also.

Thanks Rajsekhar . for your efforts in giving me the sample.

Tried your method with the example you have given but , the problem is that, when i generate work schedule , the employees WS for the entire month has only one shift ..

i.e  if i assign my PWS , RTN 1 in 0007 IT  it has only shift 1 for the entire month .

with PWS RTN2 the entire month has only Shift 2 and same with RTN3.

on the other hand i tried with the other method creating three different sets of PWS  as shown in the screen shot below

below is the WSR under which the above PWS are assigned respectivly

but when we generated the above work schedules and tested  the employee with RTN 1 and RTN 2 Work schedule in 0007 IT , the employee has same shifts in the month of January , which should not be the case .. instead it should have been Shift 1 with RTN 1 as PWS in first week of jan . and Shift 2 in first week of jan, if i use PWS as RTN2..  screen shots are below for reference

Hi,

Return value of the feature of SCHKZ is the Work schedule rule from table V_T508A.

Hi,

Below are the decision are parameters for SCHKZ  feature we can default only based on the below combination.

BUKRS    Company Code

WERKS    Personnel Area

BTRTL    Personnel Subarea

PERSG    Employee Group

PERSK    Employee Subgroup

MOLGA    Country Grouping

The HR admin have to go and select in IT0007 available  Work schedule rule he belongs too.

We cannot default WSR based on employee wise.

Your efforts are really appreciable...

All i want is::

When I have 3 employees (say: XX, YY and ZZ) working in d same department. But the problem is all these employee belong to same employee subgroup... and this is what creating problems to me in assigning the groups in SCHKZ feature,,,

YES!! this is hoe I wanted,, but slight a bit more neat.. Hope my below screen shot will elaborate u more precisely.. If u dint understand plz write back.. I'll explain u more.. HELP PLZ

(plz concentrate on the days in RED) the shift continues even if the month overs in the middle of the week..

SUPPOSE:: 31 Jan is on Friday and the employee is working in DW02. then on 1 Feb (which would be on Sat) the employee will still work in DW02 and the shift changes to DW03 on 3 Feb (as 3 Feb will be on Monday)

Both the employees belong to same Employee SubGroup

Dear Tahir,

As I understood you need a circular shift. You don't need to assign anything through SCHKZ. SCHKZ define defult WSR.

You have to define Daily work schedule in V_550A.

A circular period work schedule in V_T551A and a WSR in V_T508A. In V_T508A keep start date of shift a fix date and just chnage "Starting Point in Period Work Schedule".

Assign PSG and ESG in V_001P_all and V_503_all respectively.

Changing the sequence number in "Starting Point in PWS" really helped me out
