Locking material till User decision completes

Hi,

I've a requirement in which the user decisions should be sent to users in different roles for changing materials.

Can I lock the material for a particular role still the user decision step is completed.

Please suggest.

Hello Karthika !

           You can prevent the users from receiving user decision work items who are assuming a particular role.

           Develop a background method or rule to pick the agents who don't belong to a particular role and pass it to the user decision step. This way you'd be able to accomplish the requirement.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm able to send the user decisions to the required Users.

But my requirement is other than the users who received this user decision (Users in another Roles) Should not be able to edit the material in MM02.

Hello Karthika !

         Ask your BASIS consultant to revoke authorization to those users who are assuming such roles,  which you mention as other roles, in accessing MM02 transaction.

Hi Satish,

That will not help because in the second user decision I've to send the similar user decision to another roles. Like this I've many user decision steps for different roles. So I cant revoke the access for MM02 for these roles.

Hi,

  Then find some customer exit for MM02, where you can write the code like that way that it can be only possible TO execute through MM02 in business workplace based on system fields.

Then whoever got the workitem in their business workplace they can execute MM02 for that material
