Unable to create an APO planning object structure in client 200

I am using APO 7.

The client = 200.

If I try and create a new planning object structure via trans /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN I get error BRAIN009 - 'your BW system can only operate in client 001'.

Can anyone advise here?

Hi Dear,

Follow below points, should solve you issue.

1: Log on to sap system with your new client.

2: Goto T-Code se11

3: Goto Table "RSADMINA"

4: Select Contents(CtrlShiftF10)

5: Execute it.

6: Double click on the report (Eg: Bw )

7:In "BWMANDT" field give your client and save.

Group APO,

This means that in the table RSADMINA the current value of BWMANDT is  client 001. This means the for the BW apps will work only in client 001. This entry is automatically set during installation or first time execution of t-code RSA1.

Since planning object structure is stored in BW, it needs to be created in the client 001. You can change this client as advised by Sourobh but in a normal operating environment you need not because as such BW is client "independent".

You may like to check more with "multi client capabilities in APO" if you are further curious to know why multiple clients in APO may not make sense.
