The latest SWPM10SP01_4-20009701.SAR (04.03.2013). You can also try to change sapjvm used in SWPM to more recent version and try again. If this doesn't help try to trace jni calls.

Roman,

Error is same even for new path.. but what i am observing from last one week. the issue with JVM heap size for any JVM. i think in RHEL 6.0 .. it is taking default or defined some where in Linux -Xmx256m  which is not sufficient to run SWPM.

I try to set the -Xmx1024m with env variable SET _JVM_OPTIONS command with did not work.

Now i need to try to set the VM heap settings as permanent, any idea how to do..

i know windows but i don't know in linux.

Thanks,

Sreeni.

You need to update your glibc package (to exclude bugs in glibc code). You can also run java with -Xcheck:jni option to ensure that no null objects are passed to JNI.

Roman,

run java with -Xcheck:jni option tell me how to do this option and if want to upgrade RHEL 6.0 to 6.X... which version RHEL 6.x is compatible for NW7.31

Please attach screenshot. Have you updated the glibc rpm?

Roman,

I am not able to download the glibc files, because i don't have access to download it in redhat.

if you can find any FTP to download, please share with me, so i thought of going to rhel upgrade.

Thanks,

Sreeni.

Hi Sreeni,

As mentioned earlier the problem is with the JDK you are using.

but before coming to any conclusion first check if you are able to run any other X11 apps like Xterm or xclock to see your user environment is properly setup.

-check the memory parameters (e.g. -Xms) and gc parameter

-check if the kernel parameters are adjusted correctly

-check the output of 'yum repolist' command

I still think you need of the following JDK:

rhel-x86_64-server-sap-6

java-1.4.2-ibm-sap

java-1.4.2-ibm-sap-devel

After installation you can switch to SAPJVM.

Hi sreeni,

issue is not with java jdk

i think you are missing some rpm package.

It seems as bug in your RHEL release. You can read and verify core files with gdb. For more info please attach /oracle/dump/SPM/hs_err_pid2686.log file as Deepak Kori said. You can try to update your glibc rpm.

Hello

Feb 25, 2013 3:38:14 PM [Info]: >> # A fatal error has been detected by SAP Java Virtual Machine:

You have problem with the SAP JVM.

If you have the vendor JRE installed on the system then set the environment variable JAVA_HOME to the partner JRE and start the sapinst.

Also make sure whether you have sufficient memory on the box.

Check this discussion for some inputs:

Hi Sreeni,

Could you please check if you have installed the specific JDK provided by vendors and specific packages for SAP from RHN. (you need to purchase specific RHEL subscription)

Please see SNOTE 1496410

Shahab,

Even i came to know the same thought, so i have uninstalled all third party JVMs, tryied it result is same, now i have installed sapjava _6_46, the result is same, do u know why because

from netweaver 7.x onwards we dont required to install any java externally. SPM it self has jre.

Thanks,

Sreeni.

Sreeni,

I may be wrong but believe still for the java based AS you still need the vendor supported JDK in RHEL for installation. (unfortunately RHEL has made it so to sell the packages) see also snote 1172419

I had many issues with the installations on RHEL 6.x because of this.

Shahab

Hi sreeni,

Don't you believe that something weird that the hostname is localhost?

Moreover check for any sapnote of the autologin error:

Feb 25, 2013 3:38:19 PM [Error]: GUI terminated with return code 134

guiengine: 2013-02-25 03:38:19 PM CGuiLogon::loginWithNonceData: Error within auto login. Code: 1; Throwable

Shahab,

May be your right but for netweaver 7.31 don't required any java installation. SPM 1.0 has its own JRE

And a follow the instruction as per note 1496410 for RHEL6

Thanks,

Sreeni.

Hi Sreeni,

I think you are doing remote installation , Please confirm

Feb 25, 2013 3:38:11 PM [Info]: >> <<< frog.jar: version 7.20.19 03/09/11 sap.theme: null >>>

guiengine: 2013-02-25 03:38:14 PM Start client logon ...

guiengine: 2013-02-25 03:38:14 PM Starting auto logon

Check the environmnet variable

LANG=en_US is set or not.

Ashutosh,

I am not doing any remote installation & LANG =en_US while RHEL installation.

when we start sapinst it opens GUI & it automatically closing. i think JVM through OOM error. from above error

/tmp/sapinst_exe.2625.1361824687/jre/bin/java -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -Xmx256M -cp /tmp/sapinst_exe.2625.1361824687/JAR/instgui.jar SDTGui host=localhost port=21212 service=SAPinstService -noauth
