mix of old and new versions of BOE Integration Kit 3.1 transports in NW

Hi.

My question is:

What I should to do in GRC 3.0 system (NW ABAP part) with old imported transports of old previous version of BOE Integration Kit,

if I upgraded to new version of BOE Int Kit with new transports?

For example, Open SQL Connectivity transport in BOE 3.1 SP03 FP 3.3 was R21K900687,

but in SP05 FP 5.4 the Open SQL Connectivity transport named as R21K900754.

Because after importing of the new transports in GRC where are some mix of old and new transports occurred.

May be I should to delete old transports? If yes, how to delete this old transports in NW?

Hi Yessen,

You dont delete netweaver transports - there are some conditions in the documentation as some objects have been renamed for BO 4x, but these core function transports are officially backwards compatible (see SAPNET note 1795243) and the now ones overlay and update the olde functions. Generally, you will want to import the latest available transport for each functionality type - at least until SAP BO changes this behavior and incorporates these into the base build...its been consistent like this for several years,

The current SP5 set is (I have a BW 731 system so the note doesnt apply)

* Open SQL Connectivity transport (K900754.R21 and R900754.R21)

* Info Set Connectivity transport (K900767.r21 and R900767.r21)

* Row-level Security Definition transport (K900689.r21 and R900689.r21)

* Cluster Definition transport (K900690.r21 and R900690.r21)

* Authentication Helpers transport (K900691.r21 and R900691.r21)

* Content Administration transport (K900741.r21 and R900741.r21)

* Personalization transport (K900748.r21 and R900748.r21)

* ODS Connectivity transport (K900695.r21 and R900695.r21)

* MDX Query Connectivity transport (K900744.r21 and R900744.r21) If your SAP BW system has not applied SAP Note 1232751

* MDX Query Connectivity transport (K900060.R72 and R900060.R72) If your SAP BW system has applied SAP Note 1232751 (or is at a later version number)

I hope that clarifies your question - for a non BW system,. you arent required to import some of the above - per the README document in the transport directory and the BO admin guide,
