Medals

This is probably more for the moderators and SAP people here.  I was wondering if you do a metric of the medals over time?

I.e. how many bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals are in place in any given month.

It would be great to see a timeline series of these.  I'm guessing that since we switched to the new format, all of them have dropped.

I would think it would be a great metric to monitor participation.

IMHO this might be obsolete after the new gamification-platform is integrated (I think in April or so), not sure though.

There was spam in comments too? I didn't realise that. All I saw were spam blog posts. The problem is bigger than I realised then? Good job keeping on top of it!

Is this approval only in certain spaces? I haven't seen it for comments I've posted elsewhere today, but I did on this one.

Yes, certain spaces only - the ones that have been most vigorously targeted by the spammers. We're trying to be selective and targeted, and not impact the whole site.
