Change Password at the BEx Web report login screen

Hi All,

My issue is: I need to give the functionality for the users to change password at login screen of my web report.

The problem here is many users are first time users of bw and they do not have the sapgui installed, they just access the web reports, many do not have their passwords, the best support can do is reset their password. So when they first go my web reports rolemenu URL... they should be able to change the password.

Pls suggest

Raj

    Hi Raj,

There is a How To paper: Customize SAP BW Web Logon screens and functions (Jan 2004) that shows you how to do this. Have you see this document?

Have a look at note 495215. Put the URL in the error pages tab of the BW service.

Thanks that definitely is the solution.

But I assume this would be a global setting for all bw web reports. Is there an alternative where I can make this affect only a set of my web reports ?

P.S: People hate change, why mess with them especially when ur a consultant 😊!

Is there also a solution to force a password change?

E.g. users have to change their passwords after 90 days.

Or is it possible to work around this problem by checking the last logon date of the user in the BSP?

As this is quite urgent, I would be grateful if anybody could give me an answer!

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Bart

PS: I am working with the HowTo https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000556662004
