GUI Apps are not getting loaded in S4 HANA 1610

Hello Experts,

We are not able to launch applications in the newly installed S4 HANA 1610 system.

For example if I take Maintain Business Partner application we have both front end component and backend component installed in the system.

Business Role for that application is also assigned to the user id. But when I try to launch the application its throwing error "Could not open app. Please try again later!"

But when we check Catalouge Id in admin page all tiles are showing it as Reference Lost error which should not be the case in ideal scenario.

Request the experts to help us with this.

Hi Sreekanth

It is not enough for the apps to be installed - they have to be activated.

Your best reference for this is the Best Practice guide for Other App Types deployment. as per Leading S/4HANA UX Getting the Good Guides

Be especially careful to take note if you are being asked to activate a single SICF node or a path - i.e. the node and all its subnodes

And yes Muqueet is correct - you need to run that program as well to update the tile catalogs.

Hi Sreekanth,

use this transaction to get the GUI Apps catalogs properly /UI2/APPDESC_GET

You need to enter the Catalog ID and execute by unchecking the test mode
