Solved: Error in Install instance SCS01

Hi,

I'm installing the SAP Solution Manager and the installation stopped in this point.

I tried to find some solution in the forum but i didn't find. So someone can help me?

The error in sapinst is :

An error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Support Release 1 > SAP Systems > Sybase ASE > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Instance DS1/DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Hi again,

I resolve the problem. I needed to add more memory in /etc/security/limits.conf because the default values are too small. After that the installation passed this fase.

I have seen in another site that the kernel from sap installation may have problems.

I run is the terminal the command ./krnlreg -V to see the information and is like this:

Hi Leonor,

Try to start the system manually and see whether you are able to start the system ..

If no, please attach the dev_server0 & dev_dispatcher file available in your /usr/sap/SID/DV*/work

Please login as sidadm and execute the R3trans -d and check whether the return code is 0000..

If not, please attach the trans.log.
