Users blocked on Webdynpro page

Former Member

Hi,

We have a custom ABAP webdynpro application...

All was well until some weeks ago...

We have 2 users now who just see a blank screen / hour glass when they try to use the URL...

If we make a clone of the user (same roles i.e.), the clone is able to access the application perfectly well (same PC).

However, the regular user Id somehow seems to have been "blocked" from accessing the webdynpro page...

(The 2 users claim they may have inadvertently clicked on something / done something in a wrong fashion which is leading to this)...

We've ruled out Security & a local PC problem due to the above findings...

A code check too has not yielded any results...

Please can you advise what could be wrong...

Thank you !

Hi,

Run the webdynpro application for WD component WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER and enter your WD component and the Users having issues and see what changed.

and also try to WD_ANALYZE* and it has total 4 components and which one works for you.

Let me know.

Thanks

Hi Saba,

I hope this problem is only for the 2 users. In internet explore you can find the Zoom level in Right bottom corner. Please make this as 100%. I have faced the same issue in client system and resloved when making the 100% zoom level in the Internet Explorer. Please let me know once you check this with the user.

Hi Ganesh,

Zoom = 110 %...

Hi Nandi,

The "page" in my case is an adobe form...

Since the system results in an hourglass trying to load the "hidden" form, it does not give anything on right click...(without the hourglass right click is available)...

If I use the Discard settings for entire application under Advanced options, the problem disappears (tried with a test Id)...

However, I was hoping to just get back the form.....n not erase all of the user's other preferences...

Also, will using the Discard settings for entire application option affect other users who use this application ?

Thank you !

Hi,

After running the URL in Webdynpro screen have you checked wether the UI is hidden for that user i.e Personalisation done by mistake .

Once i faced more or less the same issue to one user some UI elements are not displayed

then we found that  user by mistake hidden those UI elements by means of personalisation ,we can check this by right clicking inside the Webdynpro Page and Restore the Hidden UI..

Thanks,

Nandi.

Thank you, Sir !!!

That seems to be exactly the case...

What's happened is the user has somehow "Hidden" the adobe form.

Now the problem is whenever the user tries to load it, an hourglass ensues...

Due to this, the User Setting for "Unhiding" the Adobe form option is not available...since the hourglass keeps on running...(The hide option is available on the form itself)...

Please can you advise how do I "unhide" just the form...

I don't want to restore all the user specific settings...

Thank you.

Saba.

Hi,

To restore the hidden UI right click on the WDABAP page and select User settings option it will show all the hidden UI ,we can restore the UI by clicking restore option.

Or once try to the run the WDABAP application by passing parameter "WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION = X " in the parameters tab of application ,basically it will remove all user specific settings and run the application with all UI..

Thanks,

Nandi.
