Entity Type SU Type 2

Hello MDG experts,

I want to manage hierarchies in data model MM.

I have created two new entity types :

- Material Hierarchy (Is Hry Type = Yes) => it will represent the nodes of the hierarchy

- Material Hierarchy Name => it will be the hierarchy name

I want to be able to manage them (nodes and names) in MDG without Change Requests. That's why I created them with Storage/Use Type 2.

My question is :

How can I manage them in a UI ? With this Storage/Use Type 2, the GENIL component MDGM is not updated with the new objects and if I create a form nothing is displayed.

Hi Jeremy,

I agree but as far as i know entity type 2 and 3 are for serving look up values.

But I'am not sure to understand. Why will I create entity types SU Type 1 ? I just need to manage the nodes without Change Requests.

Hi Jeremy,

Entity type 2 can be used along with entity type 1 or 4. Alone they don't represent or used hence it wont be updated in Genil model.

For your req create store type 1 and create relationship with these entity types.
