Jump directly from SP10 to SP13 ?

Hi,

We are just planing to patch our XI system that is currently on SP10, and want to go directly to SP13.

As we could figure out, there should not be any technical reason that this soul not be possible.

Of curse the ABAP support packages have to be added in sequence. The J2EE server patches are full patches so this should not be a problem, the same apply's to XI SDA's.

So the only reason for not going directly from SP10 to SP13 could be some post processing activities from SP11 an SP12 that have to be performed...

Anyone out there knowing a reason for not to jump over SP's ?

Any comments would be nice !

Hi Rolf,

As you understand, ABAP SPs are applied in sequence.

However, J2EE & XI patches are cummulative. It is possible to Jump directly to latest patch.

For eg., we jumped from SP9 to SP12 and the installation works fine.
