Solution_Transfer missing Monitoring Objects in Logical components

HI,

We used Solution Transfer from our Solman 7.0 to Solman 7.1 system using the guide, we successfully transferred the solution but there are no alerts generating in Alert inbox and we are not able to see any Monitoring objects in Logical Components list. Can some one help on this ,please since we need this BP up and running.

But when i see the BP's created in the target systems it self does contain Monitoring Objects in Logical Component List.

Anyways let me put the problem i am facing.. We r seeing alerts in table DSWP_BPM_ALERTS but not in ALERT inbox.

Judging from the screen shot, I think your solman is 7.1 more than SP5.

Yes, your assumption is correct. In ne BPMon setup under the logical component section,

you should be able to see all monitoring objects related to the logical component.

This means, monitoring object from BPMon (monitors under the business process) and BP Analytics (Monitor you configure under the logical component for analytics purpose).

In current your situation, I suspect post processing operation.

Due to some issue, you need to conduct structure conversion if you migrate to 7.1 SP5 up.

So please check note 1795945. It describes required migration steps.

(Not sure your SolMan sp level. So not sure whether note 1734897, 1775564. are in....

If not, please implement these note, and conduct SOLMAN_SETUP => BPMon scenario setup,

or execute report R_AGS_BPM_SOLUTION_MIGRATION).

Also please refer to the SAP Note 521820 and 1320940.

It describes important notes, that you have better to apply for smooth golive.

HI Keiji,

Yes our system is on SP7 , its a new build system and we are transferring Solutions from Old solman which was EHP1 to &.7.1 SP7. The process is transfer the solutions using transfer which was successful but i dont see any Monitoring Objects in Logical Component list which leads to missing of Alerts off course i think

Its 2 diff solution manager where the solution is transfer from one to another, there is no upgrade or migration involved its just transferring of solution from one solman to other using Solution_transfer.

It is more or less same.

SOLUTION_TRANSFER just import old configuration from old release.

Now your are on new solution manager with old configuration.

since old configuration is based on session based setup screen that is different from new structure,

if you have old configuration, you need migration activities.

If you create new solution, and just configure completely new setup, then this is OK.

But at this moment, you try to use configuration from old strucutre that is imported via solution_transfer, you need some adjustment.

So please follow the note instruction that I mention.

(SP7 does not have note 1734897, 1775564. So please attached both note. After that, please conduct conversion).

Thanks a lot Keiji, the solution was to run the report R_AGS_BPM_SOLUTION_MIGRATION which got all the information corrected and i can see the Logical components and also the alerts in Inbox.

HI Keiji,

I have similar issue now when i transfer the Solution from old Solman EHp1 to Solman sp8, previous i had same problem while transferring Solution from EHp1 to Solman 7.1 Sp7 ,you suggested to run the report "R_AGS_BPM_SOLUTION_MIGRATION" which solved the issue. Now i am facing the same issue this time Production in SP8 , i am missing the Monitoring Objects in Logical component. I took the same approached ran the report but still same issue and before that implemented the note 1775564 successfully and 1734897 cannot be implemented.

Can you please suggest what could be done here since its Production and we need it to be Live and activated ASAP.

Hi Shravan

Do you mean, you upgrade from SolMan 7.1 SP7 to SP8 and lost monitoring object after SP update ?

BPMon configuration strcuture changed at SolMan 7.1 SP5. So for previous release or SP system, The step that I informed was required to convert the structure after SP5.

Once the conversion was finished and it was ok for SP7, I think current issue comes from different point.

Did you try load montor (choose Logical Components) to problem system ?

If you are SP8, there is Note 1801801 for generic BPMon infora issue. But as far as I check the note description, I do not see such a missing object issue... So I suspect whether this Note helps you.

If Load monitor and Note 1801801 do not Solve the issue, I recommend you to create SAP customer message under the component SV-SMG-MON-BPM    ASAP.

Yes the problem was with Logical Component which were assigned with Wrong Product Versions in Managed System Configuration step,so that's y the monitoring objects where not reflecting in Setup screen. The Logical components were corrected and added with Correct product versions and then did Complete System Data Replication which helped.

The solution is generated and activated already, i can see the Monitoring Objects under BP steps but not in Logical Components where it should display all the Monitoring object assigned to its SID

Under Business Process step i can see

But if u see in Logical Components i dont see the Monitoring objects for respective SID's

Due to this i am not able to get any alerts in Alert inbox of Bpm.

you will nt see the monitoring objects under logical component, It should be under business process steps.

this is same for 7.0 ehp1.
