define a itab with two fields(one for order and another for matnr)

    move : 100 to order

    cx-211 to matnr

use gui_download to download this table to filename abc.xls

in another itab have to details specific to order 100 and matnr cx-211.

download this to the same file name (abc.xls) using gui_download in append mode. (APPEND = 'X')

    Hi,

    use in your rep. <b>REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY</b>

and user can download alv-list in format <b>DAT</b>

    sample-report: BCALV_TEST_HIERSEQ_LIST

    Hi,

Once you execute the report, and from the display screen, navigate to menu.

    Menu - List - Save.

When you save, u get options to save it as a file.

Click File, then u get options to save the file in the following formats :

select spreadsheet and save it in the desired location.

Open the file with the Microsoft Excel component, when u open the downloaded file.

    Try and see.

    Regards,

    dinesh kumar.

      Hi Dinesh,

The issue with this method is that all the columns with quantity fields (Type QUAN or any other amount field) move to the end of the display in the Excel file.

      So <b>Anu</b>,

the way I usually handle this issue is to download it as a <i>.csv(Comma seperated values)</i>file. This can be accomplished by using function module <b>"GUI_DOWNLOAD"</b>, passing <b>","</b> to the parameter <b>"WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR"</b>. It should be downloaded as a <b><i>BIN</i> (Binary file)</b>. This file can be opened in MS Excel, looks like a usual .XLS file.

This does not sound very elegant way, but the column sequence remains intact.

      Hope this helps.

      Best Regards,

      Sanyam
