SAP Netweaver Portal 7.31 browser cache Issue on collaboration.

Hi Portal Experts,

We are using SAP Netweaver 7.31 Portal with collaboration .

Each ans every collaboration application working fine.

Issue:-

Browser cache memory is not clearing  when we log off the respective user from the portal (EX : User A).

Due to this applications behaves as same user even we log in with different user (EX : User B).

If we manually clear the Browser cache, we are able to see the second user's application (EX : User B).

But as part me client requirement no need to go for any manual clearing the Browser cache.

It should be automatically clearing the Browser cache.

Is it possible to how to kill the portal session when user log-off.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue will be really helpful.

Hello,

In general there is a note 1958240 that handles cases in which user logs off from portal and his sessions stays active.

Hi,

We are facing the similar issue with EP 7.3 and here is the scenario.

Step 1: Login with User1

Step 2: Logoout from the portal

Step3: Login with User2-Issue: User1 portal is opening instead User2 Portal.

We need to clear IE history and login/logoff twice to get the corresponding User Portal thought set the IE option 'Clear history on Exit'.

Please suggest.

Hello All,

I noticed you are using collaboration portal and we have recently started using it but we are facing lot of performance issue in portal. We are using TMS9.1 at SP07 version with collaboration portal (NW7.4 version).

We have recently implemented

2176358 - Collaboration Portal: Time-dependent cache reset (back end)

2176359 - Collaboration Portal: Time-dependent cache reset (front end)

2180889 - Collaboration Portal: HTTP request failed when accepting invoice or creating dispute

But we are still experiencing the performance issue in production. When the carriers login from the external link , portal takes lot of time to load the screen. When we installed the same in quality we didn't experience such issues.

Did anyone experience such issue recently?

Any advise will be really appreciated.

First I have to understand what you mean by "seeing user's applications". Do you mean user's portal roles, launchpad entries, NWBC roles or something else?

What applications are you using? Custom or SAP standard? There is caching happening in several layers of the portal and on top of that there is caching in applications, I need to first understand which caches are involved.

Yes.Exactly right.

Collaboration launchpad  iviews,pages,worksets and roles.

3.Custom or SAP standard?

We are using SAP standard collaboration launchpad application.

4.There is caching happening in several layers of the portal and on top of that there is caching in applications, I need to first understand which caches are involved.

I'm using default caching and didn't change any caching property.

Please help me regarding on this issue.

Sorry, I'm not understanding what the problem is since Collaboration Launchpad is just a couple of links in a dropdown. I need a screenshot for user A and user B with you pointing what the problem is. Mask any sensitive data.
