SM21 System log record

Hi Experts,

My SAP system not recording the SAP system log for 24 hours. 

I see that the following time only system records its sap log files.

Start time: 06:51:23

End time : 20:00:24

After operation mode change switch to night mode, its not recording.

But its records after day mode switch.

Please let us know how to fix this issue,.

Hi,

Can you post the current WP Distribution in your system ( After Op. Mode switch ).

I think we need to have at least 1 DIA Process to update the System log.

3. Found that this month, only one day its recorded the log around 21:20:17PM.  other days its recorded duing the night mode.

  "Connection to user xxxxxxxxxxx terminal lost".

I am not sure , whether really  is there any issues,

Our client end user will not use the system during the night mode timing.

Please advise how to fix this issue?

Hello,

You seems to have sufficient no. of WPs.

You can check if there is really any issue in your system by switching the Operation modes manually with RZ03 and then Log-off any user (Tcode SM04 ) / Kill any running WP ( SM50 ) and see if any entries are updated in SM21 logs.  You can kill the sessions / user-log off  for your user-id too so that others are not affected.

If the SM21 logs still doesn't updates then you can check & attach the Dispatcher / WP trace for more clues.

Please check and revert back.

Hi Thiru,

   Check whether atleast one work processes is available for each work processes.

Secondly, please check what is the last system message before the operational mode switch happens.
