There is a business requirement that there should be no back orders specific customers even if the available quantity is zero.Is there any standard configuration available for this?
Ok let me explain more clearly...When we are creating sales order,we want the order to be in completed status after the delivery is created even if the order quantity is less than the delivered quantity for each line item.For the case when the order is partially delivered (eg ordered qty is 50 and delivered is 25 as per availability) we can configure the customer master partial delivery setting "blank "and maximum delivery allowed as" 1".But this does not work for the case when the available qty is zero as delivery s not created in this case and order remains in open status.So we want such configuration for specific customers wherein if the available qty is zero ,the order shall get completed status.
You are asking very Strange Requirement why because you want Sales Order but Quantity should be 0 availability quantity and also you want Complete Status and one more thing is you want to do Delivery from Sales Order .
Note : I did as below.
1. Created OR in VA01 Status Complete in Status Tab
2. went in VA02 and remove quantity and system has showed Incomplete as below two Points.
a. Quantity Status In-Complete in Status Tab
b. Net Value
Why you want this requirement and Can you tell exact Scenario ?
1. You may consider a fill or kill scenario for possibly part of your requirement.
2. You cannot create a DN with quantity zero, the DN will also do an availabiluty check and this is done in normal organisations against stock. In some situations in my current Client they will assign the schedule line category CN which confirms automatically.
The orders and delivery are created automatically from an upload file.For the line items in the sales order which have been partially delivered,we have found the solution by making partial delivery settings in customer master,"blank" and maximum deliveries allowed"1" which makes the order in completed status if all the line items have been delivered fully or partially,but the issue is when some line item has zero stock available which keeps the order in open status.
Without Quantity conformation ,there is no Net Value right .so in this case ,System should says the Status as Open or Incomplete .I think ,In partially Delivery ,system giving only quantity as Fully Conformed when you maintain partial Quantity not Status Completed ,Its shows as Being Processing .
Why do you want Create Sales Order as without Quantity ( Purpose ) ?
Sales order will have the quantity but no confirmed quantity as the availability is zero and will remain in open status ,if the availability is zero ,order should come in completed status even if the delivery is not created.I am looking for some standard configuration before going for some code change.
