Hi, I need to create a KM Search iView to search a repository. I have already created an index and assigned it to the repository. Now, when I go to Portal Content to create the iView, in "Template Selection", I don't see any option called KM Search iView. However, I do see an option called "Search". Do I use that for creating the KM Search iView? Also, do I need to create a Search Component Set and a Search Options Set? Can anyone please give me some suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks for your valuable time.
Sincerely,
Sri
hi Sri,
you can create a new search iVew using com.sap.km.cm par (create iView from par) -> search. depending on your release you can also configure your search iView by supplying properties such as index scope, resource rendere for results, search components. write which release you are on and i will elaborate on possible solution.

after you create the search iView from par you will get a default search screen, the one you are getting when clicking on search in the portal masthead. however after patch 5 (i believe) there is an option to specify a lot of predefined search option (if not all) in the configuration of the iview itself. have a look at the available options (show all). you can for example specify: Search Component Set, Search Component Set, ResourceListType=com.sapportals.wcm.SearchResultList (in query).
i hope this will be helpfull to you, please consider rewarding usefull answers. thanks a bunch.
