HTTP RFC Destination

Hi,

Scenario: XI -> IIS Server (web page requiring authenticaiton).

In the HTTP Receiver Adapter, Addressing Type is selected as 'HTTP Destination'. The HTTP RFC Destination is filled in with the required details of authentication.

But the 'Test RFC connection' do not work. It prompts for user/password again & again even if the credentials are correct.

I suppose the IIS Server is enabled for 'Integrated Windows authentication' or 'Digest Authentication'. When it is configured as 'basic authentication (password as clear text)', then it works.

How to enable 'HTTP RFC Destination' to send the credentials in Digest/encrypted form? Is it not supported in XI?

Any clues ?

Hi SKM,

That is fine. This has to be checked if we feel the password is the problem. i.e., if it might have taken incorrect values due to the ENTER.

But that is not the case. Even if the details are incorrect, it throws up a dialog box again requesting username/password. Even then it doesn't accept.

As mentioned, we need to see if XI sends the credentials in an encrypted/digested form so that, the authentication mode on IIS server be able to use it.

Sometime ago there was a post about this, could not find it myself too. But here is the excerpt from whatever I recall.

It looks dumb but it worked.

When you are creating HTTP destination becareful not to use enter button. What it means....

After clicking on create button in SM59, enter your destination name and type and description and there one ENTER, after that until you complete creating it do not use ENTER button.
